Aurobindo's 1939-40 magnum opus of Integral Yoga — descent of the Supermind into matter
The Life Divine is Sri Aurobindo's magnum opus — originally serialized 1914-19 in the Arya magazine, expanded as a book 1939-40. Central thesis: the universe is the manifestation of Sat-Chit-Ananda (Being-Consciousness-Bliss) through descending and ascending grades of consciousness; the ultimate spiritual evolution involves the descent of the "Supermind" into matter and the consequent transformation of human nature. The work is the foundational systematic of Integral Yoga.
