Tradition: Andalusian-Islamic Sufism (Akbarian school)
Ibn ʿArabī's c. 1229 foundational Sufi mystical-philosophical masterwork — 27 chapters on prophets
The Fuṣūṣ al-Ḥikam (Bezels of Wisdom) is Ibn ʿArabī's c. 1229 foundational mystical-philosophical masterwork — 27 chapters each devoted to a prophet ("bezel") through whom a particular wisdom-jewel is revealed. The work articulates the doctrine of waḥdat al-wujūd (oneness of being), the "perfect human" (al-insān al-kāmil), and the dialectic of divine names. It is foundational for the entire subsequent Akbarian (Ibn ʿArabī) school of Sufism.
