Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia is the 1972 first volume of Deleuze and Guattari's great post-1968 collaboration — central thesis: against the Oedipal-Lacanian psychoanalytic family-romance, desire is a positive productive force ("desiring-machines") not a lack; capitalism deterritorializes and reterritorializes desire; the "body without organs" is the immanent plane on which desire can be liberated. The work was foundational for post-'68 French political philosophy.
