The Logic of Scientific Discovery (Logik der Forschung) is Popper's 1934 foundational falsificationist philosophy of science — central thesis: scientific theories cannot be verified by induction, but must be falsifiable; the demarcation between science and pseudoscience is falsifiability. The work was a major break with the logical positivism of the Vienna Circle and inaugurated critical rationalism.
