Barth's unfinished 14-volume systematic theology — the major 20th-century Protestant dogmatics
Church Dogmatics (Kirchliche Dogmatik) is Barth's 14-volume unfinished magnum opus (1932-67) — central thesis: theology proceeds from the Word of God in Jesus Christ as the sole source of revelation; all natural theology and religious experience are subordinated to christological revelation. The work is the major 20th-century Protestant systematic theology and the most extended dogmatic system in modern theology.
