Dummett's 1978 collection — anti-realism, truth, the philosophy of time
Truth and Other Enigmas is Dummett's 1978 collection — including the seminal "Truth" (1959), "The Reality of the Past" (1969), and essays on McTaggart, intuitionism, and the realism/anti-realism debate. Central thesis: the realism/anti-realism debate is best located at the level of the theory of meaning (truth-conditional vs. assertibility-conditional). The work was foundational for the renaissance of philosophy of language in late-20th-century analytic philosophy.
